What is Holy City Fellows?
Holy City Fellows is a nine month intentional discipleship experience for young adults, 22-32 years of age, who want to integrate their faith into every dimension of their lives (relationships, family, church, work, culture) in order to serve Christ faithfully through their unique callings. This program will raise up gospel-centered servant leaders who will seek the welfare of Charleston and its surrounding communities and work for its social, cultural, and spiritual flourishing. Fellows gather weekly on Sunday evenings for fellowship, teaching, discussion, and prayer. They also attend two weekend retreats, participate in a service project, meet regularly with an assigned mentor, and engage with weekly discipleship assignments.
Why Holy City Fellows? Because of its rich heritage of religious freedom and skyline marked by historic church steeples, Charleston earned the nickname “The Holy City.” But the name also reminds us that every follower of Christ is journeying toward THE Holy City – the New Jerusalem – God’s New Creation (Rev 21 and 22). As we travel through this life, we are ambassadors of God’s heavenly city seeking to bring the life of Jesus in the places where we live, work, and worship.
