Holy Week and Easter Services (April 9-April 16)

At St. Andrew’s we believe that women and men are made expressly to be in relationship with God through Jesus Christ and that our hearts are restless until they find their rest in Him. We also know that faith can come hard and that many people have honest questions about God and faith. We welcome both skeptics and believers to wrestle through the challenges of life along with the questions, doubts and objections around the Christian faith.

You are warmly invited to join the conversation – and the lives – of those who have come here seeking hope and encouragement as we grow in grace, faith, love, and community involvement.

St. Andrew’s Mt Pleasant is the main campus of St. Andrew’s – One Church in Multiple Locations.

This service is in the Ministry Center, which faces Venning Street. It is the large building behind the smaller Historic Church that faces Whilden Street. Park in the church’s lot on Venning Street and enter through the glass doors and go up the stairs to the lobby.

Both the service and the music are contemporary. Worship music is led by a band with acoustic, electric, and bass guitars, keyboards, drums, violin, and the occasional sousaphone and kazoo. The service ends with communion and there is an opportunity for individual prayer ministry. Dress as you feel comfortable. Some wear coat and tie but most dress casually. It’s not unusual to find adults and children in shorts during the summer.

Children’s Ministry and Nursery

If this is your first visit, we ask that you bring your children to The Deep End to check in. Our Children’s Ministry area is located on the ground floor of the Ministry Center. Children’s Ministry opens 15 minutes before the beginning of each service.

A nursery is provided for children from 6 weeks of age to 5K. Children must be dropped off by their parents in The Deep End each week. You can pick them up for Communion or after the service, whichever you prefer.

Children’s Ministry is for 1st grade – 5th grade. Children should follow the cross out during the service to attend their program. A Children’s Ministry staff member will escort the children from the church to The Deep End. We will bring them back in time to join their families for communion.

There is also space in the back for more freedom in movement, and childcare is provided in the Deep End.

Children’s Ministry and Nursery

Children of all ages 6 weeks through 5th grade need to be checked in downstairs by a parent on Wednesday evenings. All children must be picked up by 7:45 pm.
