Holy Week and Easter Services

Sundays Mt. Pleasant

7:45 am – Traditional Communion Service - Mt. Pleasant

The service is in our historic church building located right on the corner of Whilden and Venning Streets. Park across Venning Street in the church’s lot and enter through the entrance on Whilden Street.

This is a quiet, spoken word service using a traditional Anglican liturgy. Dress as you feel most comfortable. Khakis and polos are as acceptable as coat and tie.

9:00 am – Contemporary Communion Service with Worship Team – Mt Pleasant (Children’s Ministry and Nursery)

This service is in the Ministry Center, which faces Venning Street. It is the large building behind the smaller Historic Church that faces Whilden Street. Park in the church’s lot on Venning Street and enter through the glass doors and go up the stairs to the lobby.

Both the service and the music are contemporary. Worship music is led by a band with acoustic, electric, and bass guitars, keyboards, drums, and violin. The service ends with communion and there is an opportunity for individual prayer ministry. Dress as you feel comfortable. Some wear coat and tie but most dress casually. It’s not unusual to find adults and children in shorts during the summer.

Children’s Ministry and Nursery

If this is your first visit, we ask that you bring your children to The Deep End to check in. Our Children’s Ministry area is located on the ground floor of the Ministry Center. Children’s Ministry opens 15 minutes before the beginning of each service.

A nursery is provided for children from 6 weeks of age to 5K. Children must be dropped off by their parents in The Deep End each week. You can pick them up for Communion or after the service, whichever you prefer.

Children’s Ministry is for 1st grade – 5th grade. Children should follow the cross out during the service to attend their program. A Children’s Ministry staff member will escort the children from the church to The Deep End. We will bring them back in time to join their families for communion.

Music at this service is contemporary in nature but also includes a hymn or two. There is a small worship band that is also supported by the organ. The liturgy is traditional in nature but with modern language. Dress as you feel most comfortable. Khakis and polos are as acceptable as coat and tie.

The service is in the Historic Church located on the corner of Whilden and Venning Streets. Park across Venning Street in the church’s lot and enter through the entrance on Whilden Street.

A vested choir accompanied by the organ lead music at this service. The service is a traditional Anglican liturgy with Holy Communion on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Sundays and Morning Prayer on the 2nd and 4th Sundays. Dress as you feel most comfortable. Coat and tie tend to be the uniform but men will be just as comfortable in khakis and polos.

This service is in the Chapel on the ground floor of the Ministry Center, which faces Venning Street. It is the large building behind the smaller Historic Church that faces Whilden Street. Park in the church’s lot on Venning Street and enter through the glass doors and go down the stairs to the lower lobby.

This is a quiet, spoken word service using a traditional Anglican liturgy. Dress as you feel most comfortable. After the service, the senior saints are invited to lunch in Sams Hall, located on the second floor of the building.

6:30 pm – Contemporary Service with Worship Team – Mt Pleasant (Children’s Ministry and Nursery)

This service is in the Historic Church. Park in the lot on Venning Street and use the Whilden Street entrance to the Historic Church.

Wednesday Worship is a midweek service that allows for greater freedom than our Sunday services. Features at this very contemporary service include extended worship, brief teachings that are practical and personal, prayer ministry, and oftentimes prophetic ministry. Childcare is provided in the Deep End.

Children’s Ministry and Nursery

Children of all ages 6 weeks through 5th grade need to be checked in on the ground floor of the Ministry Center (The Deep End) by a parent on Wednesday evenings. All children must be picked up by 7:45 pm.

Sundays City Church (Charleston)

9:00 am – Contemporary Communion Service with Worship Team – City Church Charleston (Children’s Ministry)

This service meets in Charleston’s popular venue, The Music Farm, located at 32 Ann Street. You can park on the street or in the municipal parking garage located nearby with entrances off of Meeting Street and Mary Street. Parking in the garage is free if you present a City Church flyer when exiting the garage.

Both the service and the music are contemporary. Worship music, depending on the Sunday is led by a band that could have acoustic, electric, and bass guitars, keyboards and drums. The service ends with communion and there is an opportunity for individual prayer ministry. Dress as you feel comfortable. City Church is a very casual place. It’s not unusual to find adults and children in shorts during the summer.

Children’s Ministry

Our Children’s Ministry meets at the Children’s Museum of the Lowcountry, located directly across from the Music Farm. The entrance is on the side of the building. Parents may drop off their children beginning at 8:50 am.

3 months – 3 years
During Communion parents walk over from the Music Farm to pick up their children.

4K-4th Grade
Children’s Ministry leaders bring the children back to the Music Farm in time for Communion.

5th-8th Grade
1st and 3rd Sundays – Children go to the Music Farm with their parents for worship and then are dismissed to the Children’s Museum before the teaching. Leaders bring the children back.

2nd and 4th Sundays – Parents drop the children off at the Museum at the beginning of the service. Leaders bring the children back.

Sundays Park Circle (North Charleston)

11:00 am – Contemporary Communion Service with Worship Team – Park Circle North Charleston (Children’s Ministry)

The church meets in the multipurpose room or North Charleston Creative Arts Elementary School. Directional signs are placed from Montague Avenue to the school. When you arrive at the school, go the covered walkway and use the entrance to the left of the main entrance. A greeter will be outside to direct you.

Both the service and the music are contemporary. Worship music is led by worship leader with an acoustic guitar. The service ends with communion and there is an opportunity for individual prayer ministry. Dress as you feel comfortable as Park Circle Church as a very laid back vibe.

Children’s Ministry

Parents should sign in their children when they arrive if their children will be attending the children’s program during the service. Children are dismissed to their program during opening worship and return in time for communion.
