Bible Study

Don’t just take our word for it . . . take His! We would encourage you to spend time examining the following Scriptures that shaped this sermon:

Exodus 13:17-22

Sermon Outline:

How does God guide us?

  1. Scripture
  2. Common Sense
  3. Spiritual Friendships
  4. Holy Spirit with us.

Application:

  • How much time do you spend in God’s word? How has he guided you in the past through it?
  • Have you ever considered that common sense is sometimes an overlooked gift from God? How has this been a reality in your life?
  • When has another Christian helped you discern God’s will in your life? Who do you go to for council or encouragement? Commit to finding those people in your life.
  • God was present with his people in the pillar of cloud and fire. How is he present with you today? When has that been a comfort or an agent for change in your decision-making process?
  • Because of this sermon, how is your life changed, matured, or challenged?
  • Who will you tell and what because of what you just heard?
  • How would you explain this to a small child?

The outline and application questions are intended for your further reflection and action upon the weekend message. They are also designed to facilitate discussion and accountability within your LifeGroup community.
