The Final Countdown

The final countdown has begun! Our next semester of ministry and worship will be in our new space. Praise the Lord!

If you’ve driven down Venning recently you’ll see that our construction has reached the point where the infrastructure all but been completed and finishing work is now beginning.

A significant part of this finishing work began this week with the reconstruction of the hardscape around the Historic Church and our courtyard. Two primary issues being addressed are compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (“ADA”) and safer entrance/egress.

To understand the timeline, work, and impact, we’ve put together a diagram showing the areas around the Historic Church that will be affected. Take a look at the diagram to get a sense of the scope of work.

Candidly, we are thrilled that we’ve reached this milestone. While we remain grateful for the Lord’s provision of manna in our wilderness, i.e., Mt. Pleasant Academy, (and this year has felt a good bit like wilderness walking), we will rejoice with you to enter our new home.

We are grateful for your patience, for walking this road with us, and for your ongoing support of our common life and ministry and most especially what the Holy Spirit has done – and is doing – in our common life because of our fire.  As challenging as the past 20 months have been we would not trade them. Thank you, Lord – and thank you, friends, for your companionship.

In the Family,
Steve and Jacqui
