Why a Men’s Retreat?

Now when Jesus saw the crowds, he went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciples came to him and he began to teach them.  (Matthew 5:1-2)

We retreat to gather our wits and to create a space of camaraderie, trust and honesty. It’s in this atmosphere that the Lord stirs us up and spurs us on to what we have been called. When the men of the church return refreshed, families are refreshed and our congregation is emboldened. We’d love for you to join us.

About St. Andrew’s Men’s Retreat

Once a year the men of St. Andrew’s head up to Myrtle Beach in February when it’s cold and the crowds are gone and it’s quiet. We laugh, we pray, we listen, we talk and we play golf … well some of us do … play golf that is. Why? Because, occasionally, we need to re-establish the bond of communication with our brothers, and, more importantly, with our Heavenly Father.
