A Noisy Day

Concrete PourDear St. Andrew’s Family,

As we write this the sound of jackhammers, cement trucks, and other construction equipment can be heard across the campus (as well as inside our buildings).  Work continues apace and our campus is literally buzzing with activity.

If you’ve been by the campus of late you will see that we’ve made great progress in a very short amount of time.  A major cement pour took place today completing the pad on the north side of the Ministry Center (the side of the building where the old Day School building was located).  The steel framing for the new building on the east side of the property is mostly in place and soon the crews will turn their attention to setting in place the steel columns to rebuild the Ministry Center. (More photos of today’s pour.)

We’ve received word from the landscape architect at Thomas & Hutton that the construction drawings for the columbarium should be in hand by the end of March.  And, we anticipate that the construction of a new sidewalk in front of the Old Church facing Whilden and continuing down Venning will begin in early May.

Thank you for your prayers.  Thank you for your encouragement.  Thank you for your continued generosity.  Most of all, thank you for your commitment to our Lord, to our parish, and to our community.  It is a blessing to be a part of the Lord’s renovating work – both physically and spiritually – at St. Andrew’s.

With much love in Christ,
Steve & Jacqui
