Prophetic Ministry at St. Andrew’s

The clear teaching of the New Testament is that God gives spiritual gifts to the church for the common good and to empower her for ministry and mission. Prophecy is one such spiritual gift and the Bible is replete with examples of prophetic ministry.  The Apostle Paul wrote to the church in Corinth – and by extension to all Christians – that they should, “earnestly desire the spiritual gifts, especially that you may prophesy” (1 Corinthians 14.1).  As a church we seek to be obedient to Scripture.  The goal of our Prophetic Ministry team is not to predict the future.  Nor do we seek new revelation from God as He has spoken finally and perfectly in Jesus Christ.   Instead, we gather around God’s Word and seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit in the application of God’s Word to the needs and circumstances of folk’s lives.

Welcome to St. Andrew’s

At St. Andrew’s we believe that women and men are made expressly to be in relationship with God through Jesus Christ and that our hearts are restless until they find their rest in Him. Learn more about who we are and about getting connected at St. Andrew’s.
